SERIO SECURITY / LEGAL

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

SERIO Security, Estonia (“SERIO”, “we”, “us”), is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact sales@seriosecurity.com with privacy questions or requests.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers our public website and demo, trial and other business enquiries. It does not describe the processing of information monitored or protected by the SERIO platform on behalf of customers. That processing is governed by the relevant customer agreement, data processing terms and customer privacy notices.

2. Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, work email address, company, whether you represent a business or service provider, the type of request and any optional message. We also keep a submission identifier, submission time and email delivery status to handle requests and prevent duplicates.

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, credentials or sensitive customer information.

Our hosting and email providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, request times and delivery or security logs as part of operating and protecting their services.

3. Why we use information

We use enquiry information to respond, arrange demos, discuss trial access and follow up on your request. Where this involves steps you request before entering a contract with us, our legal basis is taking those pre-contractual steps. For business representatives and other enquiries, our basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with potential customers and partners.

We also rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the website, prevent spam and duplicate requests, maintain business records and resolve issues, while considering the rights of the people concerned. We may process information to meet legal obligations where applicable.

An enquiry is not consent to an unrelated marketing subscription. If we introduce optional marketing or tracking that requires consent, we will request it separately; you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Service providers and sharing

Replit provides website hosting and database services. Enquiry details are stored in the website database, and technical data may be processed to deliver and secure the website.

Resend delivers enquiry notification emails to our sales team and processes the enquiry details and email delivery information for that purpose.

Zoho Mail receives and stores emails in our business mailbox, including enquiry notifications and our subsequent correspondence.

We may share relevant information with professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or parties involved in a business reorganisation, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections. We do not sell website enquiry information.

5. International processing

Our providers may process information outside Estonia or the European Economic Area, depending on their service arrangements. Where a transfer is subject to GDPR restrictions, it must have an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with any additional safeguards required. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

6. Retention and security

We retain enquiry records and correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, manage the resulting business relationship and meet applicable legal, security or dispute-resolution needs. Relevant factors include the status of the enquiry, our last interaction and any applicable record-keeping requirements. Copies may also remain in provider backups for their normal backup lifecycle.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please contact us if you believe information submitted to us has been compromised.

7. Cookies and similar technology

We do not currently configure advertising pixels, session-replay tools or optional analytics cookies on this website. Hosting providers may use technical information or essential technology to deliver and protect the site. Browser settings can restrict cookies, although doing so may affect some functionality.

If we add non-essential cookies or similar tracking, we will update this notice and provide any consent controls required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Send requests to sales@seriosecurity.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions. We do not make solely automated decisions about website visitors that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

You may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), https://www.aki.ee, or to the supervisory authority in the EEA country where you live, work or believe an infringement has occurred.

9. Children and changes

This website is intended for business users, not children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can address it.

We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The current version and last-updated date will appear here, and we will provide further notice of material changes where required by law.
